— Local Hospital’s 'Never Forgotten Program' Receives NACS Donation

Erlanger Children’s Hospital Dianna Leun, RN, BSN who leads out with the hospital’s ‘Never Forgotten’ Perinatal and Neonatal Bereavement initiative was nearly speechless upon receipt of the 100 plus ‘Beanie Babies’ donation as coordinated by Valerie Boyd from North American Credit Services, Corporate Services Division.

Valerie, who knows all too well how the incredible loss of a young loved one feels as well as the power of having something special to hold onto and take home with you from the hospital, such as a small ’Beanie Baby’. “When I mentioned how this program had been such a personal help to me with my employer, Mr. Bunton, he told me that he had a few of these (Beanie Babies) from his collection which he would be happy to donate if they would bring joy to others. However we all had no idea of how many of these he had,” stated Valerie. “Sharing my experience publically is very hard, to say the least, however if I can help anyone who is currently hurting from a similar loss to find this program like I did I am happy to share my story.”
