Local Business to Bring "Take 25" National Child Safety Model to Chattanooga
(Chattanooga, Tennessee)- Mark your calendars for the NACS "Take 25" Child Safety & Health Fair to be held at the North American Credit Services (NACS) corporate headquarters located in Chattanooga, 2810 Walker Road, on Sunday, October 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Come join NACS along with our community safety and health partner organizations one week prior to Halloween for family-fun, prizes, refreshments, vital prevention information and the opportunity to learn how to keep our kids safe and healthy from national and local experts.
"We are excited for the opportunity to partner with local community-based organizations," said Dallas S. Bunton, Sr. Chairman and CEO of NACS and Medical Services of Chattanooga. "We look forward to working collaboratively to raise awareness about the Take 25 national safety initiative by providing parents and guardians with the vital prevention tools and local resources available for children to stay safer and live healthier."
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) will present the "Take 25" - Make Time to Talk about Child Safety, community best-practice model (www.take25.org) as endorsed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security United States Secret Services and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA).
Local community participants currently include: the Lifetouch National School Studios ‘Smile Safe Kids' initiative, T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger, Chattanooga's Safe and Sound Program, the Chattanooga Fire Department, Blood Assurance, the YMCA, City of Collegedale Police Department, the Hamilton County Health Department, Parents are First Teachers (PAFT) program, Chattanooga's Kids on the Block, the Children's Advocacy Center, "Ollie the Otter" from the TN State Safety Council, ‘Beat the Heat' Racing Team, TN State Troopers "Tenny C. Bear" and D.A.R.E. programs - to list just a few, that will be encouraging awareness of children's health and safety in activities such as bicycle riding, swimming, wellness checks as well as inspections for proper car seat installation, fire safety, poison prevention and processing child ID kits - all partnering together to help keep our kids safe and healthy! There will be much for the entire family.
